- Unit Information:
- Beds: 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite and 1 PACU
- Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years in Labor and Delivery – ability to work LDRP
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Labor/Delivery/Postpartum/Newborn care
- Patient Ratios:
- RN: Use AWHONN Staffing Guidelines
- Required Licensure & Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP
- Skills required:
- Labor and Delivery Nurse skills - labor management, circulate cesarean sections, Pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management
- Ability and willingness to work LDRP setting
- Support within the Department:
- Charge nurse, 24/7
- Phlebotomy? Yes, for peripheral blood draws
- IV/VAT Team? None
- Resource Nurse? When available
- RT 24/7? Yes, within hospital
- Hospitalist 24/7? Yes, for newborn care
- Telemetry monitoring/tech? Fetal Monitoring
- Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: Epic
- IV Pump: Alaris
- Med dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Fetal Monitor, Philips Monitor for Newborn
- Unit specific equipment: Scales, Ultrasound, Ambulation assist device
- Floating:
- Within region and scope of practice
- Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

- Orientation (facility and unit):
- NEO
- 2 days departmental
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No call
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
