RN - Continuing Care - $58.80/hr

• About Facility:
• Skilled Nursing Facility
• 625 Bethany Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001
• Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
• Department Information:
• Beds: 90
• Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months in SNF/LTC Rehab facility
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
• Short-term and Long-term services offered to patients recovering from an illness, injury or accident
• Stroke, Amputation, Neurological Disorders, s/p Joint Replacement, etc
• No Memory Care
• Patient Ratios:
• RN: 1:18-20 Days; 1:26 Nights
• Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements
• RN: BLS
• Skills required:
• Previous Long-Term Care exp to include: Trach management (refresher provided during orientation), foley care, wound experience, dressing changes, IV starts/management, tube feedings
• Support within the Department:
• Nursing Leadership
• Admin Nurse will do any admission – admissions will be approx. 1-2 per day
• HCT
• Therapies
• Case Management
• Technology/Equipment:
• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Floating:
• Within Continuing Care and scope of practice
• Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
• Rehab Region - Cleveland Pines, Huntersville Oaks, Jesse Helms, Sardis Oaks, and Stanly Manor
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
• Orientation (facility and unit):
• 2 days departmental
• Scheduling:
• 12-hour shifts (36 hours a week)
• Weekend rotation: every other
• No call
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Can NOT pick up extra shift but can have 48hr/week contract
