Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to meet the unique needs of our residents, focusing on areas such as fine motor skills, mobility, and cognitive functioning
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address any challenges
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support
Develop and implement adaptive strategies and techniques to enhance daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding
Provide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and regulations
Requirements:
Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Colorado
Experience in occupational therapy preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Compassion and empathy for older adults and individuals with disabilities
