Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate medical documentation for patient records.
- Assist with prosthodontics and endodontics procedures, providing support to both the dentist and patients.
- Manage pediatric patients with care and compassion, making their experience as comfortable as possible.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and documenting treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and medical documentation practices is essential.
- Experience with prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and vital signs monitoring is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix will be beneficial for managing patient information effectively.
