POSITION TITLE:
AV Technical Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Purpose: Support the audiovisual needs at LCISD special events and Board meetings and maintain audiovisual equipment at LCISD facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of projectors and audiovisual equipment.
- Set up operation of equipment, and complete routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Pickup and deliver equipment as required.
- Control inventory and maintain loan and repair of audiovisual equipment.
- Maintain a positive relationship with all customers through effective communication.
- Maintain accurate service tickets, parts records and daily service log.
- Meet with customers on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Evening/weekend work may be required for special events and meetings.
- Assist in ordering and maintaining proper parts inventory. Be accountable for parts assigned.
- When possible, correct unsafe conditions that may exist in the work area that could cause an accident. Any conditions that are not correctable by you are to be reported to the supervisor immediately.
- Know and practice the proper safety procedures in operating machinery and equipment as required for the job.
- Know and practice safety techniques in lifting, climbing and performing other job duties.
- Attendance at work is an essential function.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Experience:
- Five years of experience in a related field
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Texas driver's license-appropriate type or class
- Eligible for coverage under the District's vehicle insurance program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
