The impact you’ll make
Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.
In this role, you will directly contribute to the design and development of the next generation Lam Wet Deposition products. You will be part of the future direction of the semiconductor industry.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop electrical systems for semiconductor capital equipment, focusing on advanced electroplating processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and process engineers, to ensure integrated system design.
- Define and document electrical requirements and specifications for new systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the development and testing phases.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and semiconductor technology.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Who we’re looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial equipment design.
- Proficient with control system design inclduing circuit board design.
- Experience with systems engineering and defining requirements for complex systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design tools and software (e.g., CAD, simulation tools).
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor equipment.
- Project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of advanced electroplating processes and related electrical systems.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
