In this engineering leadership role, you will lead a mechanical design team to support the product development of our world-class semiconductor capital equipment products. You will pioneer new engineering processes inline with our digital transformation initiatives to continuously improve our productivity. You will directly influence other functional groups such as Supply Chain and Manufacturing to improve operational efficiency.

Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader with a strong track record in mechanical design, deep expertise in CAD, and proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The ideal candidate will bring experience in configuration management and change control, a natural curiosity to drive digital transformation, and a commitment to leading through example.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience. An advanced degree preferred.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is a plus
- Proven competency developing complex electromechanical systems, packaging, fixtures, and tooling
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with metal machining and sheetmetal fabrication; familiarity with other alternative fabrication techniques such as casting and additive manufacturing and design experience with ceramics are pluses
- Strong understanding of various material properties and their coatings and finishes
- Thorough understanding of GD&T and drafting best practices; experience with model-based-definition design (MBD) and model-based-enterprise (MBE) is a plus
- Strong CAD knowledge and experience with NX or other comparable CAD package
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM v2312 or newer; Active Workspace and Product Configurator is a big plus
- Keen understanding of and experience with large assembly management methodologies
- Expert level in Microsoft Office

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary
Salary Range for this position: $140,000.00 - $302,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
