Job Title:
Lally & Co, LLC is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA.
Job Summary:
The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Managers and Partners with various tax projects. This position will work closely with other team members to ensure that all tax projects are completed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to work independently, and have the ability to multi-task.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of complex business, individual, and trust tax returns for Federal and various states.
- Review business, individual, and trust tax returns for Federal and various states.
- Mentor and provide feedback to staff and senior associates.
- Coordinate IRS and state tax audits as well as responding to tax notices.
- Utilize research skills to resolve client tax and accounting issues.
- Prepare tax appeals and other related documents for various taxing jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
- Reliable, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines, and a commitment to exceptional client service, and ability to work as a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize questions and proactively interact with senior and associate level staff
- Proven skills using Microsoft Office applications.
- CPA or EA license is strongly preferred, but not required.
- A working knowledge of ProSystem fx Tax or Axcess Tax is a plus, but not required.
