Main Functions
Reporting to the National Sales Director – US, you will focus on building and supporting Lallemand Plant Care's microbial business with concentrated efforts through our distributors, retails, and end-user customers across Michigan and Ohio markets. You will serve as a technical ambassador; helping to train our customers in the proper use of our products, troubleshooting challenges when required and representing our company at relevant trade shows and industry meetings. You will collaborate primarily with colleagues from the Lallemand Plant Care Sales, Marketing and Field Solutions teams but also with other teams such as Supply Chain, R&D and Product Management.

Your main missions will be, but are not limited to:
- New business development and excellent customer support.
- Customer training and education relating to our technology and innovation.
- Demand creation tactics with end-user customers to support market development (e.g., retail and farm calls, grower meetings etc.).
- Territory field trial campaign developed and executed upon annually to support new product launches and business development.
- Attendance at regional tradeshows and industry meetings.
- Contribute to our team’s success in exceeding our annual business growth targets and managing annual territory expense budget.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in an agriculture related field.
- Sound knowledge of crop protection market and distributor/retail landscape.
- Understanding current agronomic practices and experience in greenhouses, along with open field fruit & vegetable production across Michigan and Ohio.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience selling, and a strong knowledge of microbial technology is a strong asset.
- Ability to walk from vegetable field to soybean field is a plus. There will be a cross-functional sales opportunity to work with the Broad Acre Crop Division in row crop production.
- 4 years of wholesale or retail sales experience in seed, biologicals, crop protection market is preferred.

Required
- Have a valid passport, and a clear driver’s license.
- Willingness and interest in traveling up to 75% per year including up to 20% overnight. Some additional travel across upper mid-west and international may occur occasionally for meetings.
- Able to do occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Able to sit for long durations (driving or at desk).
