Position Summary
This role is vital to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and smooth operations at the marina. As a Dock Hand, you'll ensure pristine docks, welcoming grounds, smooth fueling operations, and event support- while providing excellent service to members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
DockGrounds Maintenance
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of dock surfaces (scrubbing, sweeping, power washing).
- Remove bird droppings from docks and common areas every
- Replenish dog waste bags at designated
- Address pest control needs (e.g., eliminate ant infestations).
- Maintain boat ramp cleanliness and
- Maintain a clean and organized shop as it reflects on the marina's
- Return dock carts to their proper
- Inspect for inadequate dock lines and make corrections as
- Remove trash and litter from grounds to keep the property
EventClub Support
- Prepare and tear down areas for events and club activities (tables, chairs, tenting, signage).
- Assist the Sailing Director in coordinating adult racing
SafetySecurity
- Fuel boats and operate fuel pumps following safety
- Monitor dock areas to prevent unauthorized access; report suspicious
- Keep a VHF radio on your person at all
- Report and respond to oil spills and boating
- Monitor weather conditions and take precautions to protect boats during
