Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RCFE Team Lead /assistant to oversee the daily operations of our facility at Lakewood Villa Care Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work or nursing home management, with an emphasis on providing high-quality care to residents. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining compliance with all regulations. The Lead will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents, particularly those requiring dementia care and medication administration. Pay hourly $18-$22 based on experience.
RCFE Team Lead /Assistant required
- Must reside in Northern California. *Must have least 5 years experience as a caregiver. *Must Have a RCFE license. *Must have at least 2 years experience as a lead caregiver at a RCFE.
RCFE Lead is responsible for the efficient operation and management and direction of the day-to-day functions of an assigned Community in accordance with policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations. The position is responsible for achieving and maintaining budgeted occupancy; achieving and maintaining budgetary compliance; professionally representing the Company and creating a supportive and enjoyable experience for residents and team members.
The position requires travel to and from the assigned location of work
Responsibilities:
- Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the o and control of the activities and programs, its residents, its employees, and financial assets including assessing work schedules.
- Represent the property in dealing with outside agencies, including governmental agencies to fill residential beds. Participate in property surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies including developing and executing plans of correction when required.
- Promote the property in a positive manner and effectively communicate the organization’s values to residents, visitors, team members and the greater community at large.
- Coach and direct Community Directors to meet the expectations and requirements of the Company including financial management, excellent service, and team member relations.
- Guide and lead marketing and sales efforts to meet or exceed targeted census goals in a timely manner and in alignment with Company expectations, procedures, and regulatory requirements including the appropriate level of care.
- Helping and training staff with caregiving
- Helping staff with cooking/cleaning and med passing when in need
- Helping the Administrator with paper, proceeds and Protocol regarding Title 22.
- Reaching out to Sutter/Kaiser pace program. *Helping with caregiving and providing guidance as a Team Leader to the staff.
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support in their roles.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, focusing on those requiring dementia care.
- Manage budgets and financial resources effectively to ensure sustainability and quality of services.
- Coordinate medication administration processes and ensure proper training for staff involved in this area.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance resident care.
- Conduct regular assessments of facility operations and make necessary adjustments for improvement.
Skills
- Strong background in social work or nursing home management is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Experience in supervising/Leading staff within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing care to residents.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- RCFE Administrator Certificate.
- Two years of college required.
- Five years of experience providing residential care to the elderly as a caregiver.
- Prior working experience as a RCFE Lead Caregiver of 2 years or more is preferred.
- For the health and safety of our team members and residents, our healthcare facility requires team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, and surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
