Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.
General Responsibilities
- Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
- Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
- Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
