The Central Monitor Tech is responsible for identifying cardiac rhythms and notifying the nurse of changes in rhythm.
General Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for watching a total of 41 rhythm channels in a central area.
- As directed, will assume responsibility for facilitating nursing unit operations under the direction of the RN.
- These duties include clerical and specific patient care activities.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- Telemetry certification preferred.
- Rhythm Identification Course within 90 days of hire.
- Strip Identification Test within 30 days of hire
- BLS required upon hire
