- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Prior staff scheduling experience in healthcare preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of nursing staffing needs and forecasting
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to implement and interpret department policies and procedures
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able and willing to work as a CNA when short-staffed
- Schedule facility staff at appropriate levels as determined by the Director of Nursing (DON)
- Prepare shift schedules and clearly communicate assignments to staff
- Ensure compliance with state staffing requirements and forecast future staffing needs
- Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward residents and staff
- Assist in emergency evacuations as needed
- Demonstrate dependability and regular attendance
- Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and reach intermittently during work hours
