Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking to hire a Lead/Foreman Carpenter with a minimum of 7 years of lead framing experience and wood siding experience. However, there may be times that this type of work isn’t available, so we need you to have some experience or ability to do the following tasks:
- Concrete Foundations
- Window and exterior door installation
- Interior trim
- Flatwork
You are required to have a basic set of tools including the following:
- Tool bags w/ tools
- Drill set
- Skill saw
- Sawzall
- Master 5 Construction Calculator
- Hard hat
- Work boots
Qualifications
· A minimum of 7 years of lead framing experience
· 3 professional references ready upon interview
· A small portfolio of jobs worked on in the past 12-24 months
· An extensive in-depth knowledge of building materials, methods of construction, tools, and equipment.
· Ability to lead and mentor other carpenters on your crew
· Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong time management skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Know how to use proficiently a construction master 5 calculator
· Ability to work effectively alone and with multiple team members.
· Be able to work 8-10 hours a day in “Variable Weather” such as temperatures between -5 degrees and 105 degrees, high winds, sleet, heavy rains, smokey air, snowstorms, etc.
· Ability to read complex sets of plans and visualize the project from paper to real life.
· Strong work ethic and the want to excel your career with LWC.
· Willingness to learn and take on new tasks outside of this job description.
· Pass LWC “Lead Framer/Carpenter Test” with a 70% or more.
Salary : $30 - $40
