Duties
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson planning, and educational exercises tailored to early childhood development.
- Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to promote safety and positive social interactions.
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage good conduct and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters learning and creativity.
- Support infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs through caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and basic health monitoring like first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to track developmental milestones and communicate progress or concerns to parents or guardians.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is essential.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; ongoing training in child safety is encouraged.
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating caregiving skills and patience will be valued.
