Position Summary:
The Front-End Supervisor at the Trading Post is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front-end service areas, including cashiers, the ice cream counter, drink station, and restaurant area. This leadership role ensures smooth, efficient, and guest-friendly operations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate front-end team members, including cashiers, ice cream attendants, drink station, and restaurant staff.
- Manage supply orders
- Ensure outstanding guest service through friendly interactions, quick problem resolution, and a welcoming environment.
- Train, coach, and motivate team members to meet performance standards and maintain consistent service quality.
- Monitor and manage shift schedules, breaks, and coverage to ensure all stations are adequately staffed.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all front-end areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring product availability across all service areas.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and assist with daily cash-outs and deposits.
- Collaborate with management to implement promotions, new menu items, or retail strategies.
o May be asked to perform other duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework in hospitality or retail management a plus.
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a retail, food service, or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced retail and food service environment, including both indoor and outdoor elements.
