Lakeview Veterinary Clinic is growing, and we are looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant. Lakeview Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, full-service veterinary office serving East Peoria and the surrounding area. We specialize in caring for small companion animals including dogs and cats.
Our Experienced Veterinary Assistant must exhibit sharp attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. We are looking for a calm, level-headed individual who does well under pressure, and loves a challenge. At least 2 years of veterinary experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Administering medications, setting up equipment and diagnostic machines, giving injections, performing tests to assess the animal’s health.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures.
- Monitor the care of companion animals.
- Perform lab tests to diagnose ailments.
- Keep detailed medical records on all patients.
- Conduct routine medical procedures such as injections, drawing blood, placing catheters, and more.
- Other duties as required.
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
