Role Overview
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to successful closing. You will leverage our extensive network of wholesale lenders and top-tier processing support to structure competitive, compliant loan products that meet the diverse financial goals of our borrowers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective borrowers through company-provided leads, professional networking, and outbound outreach.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of clients' financial profiles to recommend optimal and tailored mortgage solutions.
- Navigate complex lending guidelines to accurately structure loans and ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments, particularly our dedicated Processing team, to facilitate an efficient, timely, and accurate closing process.
- Maintain a high standard of excellence in customer service, serving as a trusted financial advisor to clients throughout the transaction.
Qualifications
- Active NMLS license required (Michigan mandated; additional state licenses are highly preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of success in a mortgage sales, origination, or similar financial sales role.
- Comprehensive understanding of wholesale lending processes, mortgage products, and current underwriting guidelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly self-motivated professional with strong ethical judgment and a strict client-first mindset.
