Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, complaint resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as complaint logs, investigation files, and disciplinary records.
- Provide coaching and consultation to managers on performance management, policy interpretation, and issue resolution.
- Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; support audits and represent the company in unemployment hearings.
- Support the development and implementation of employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Analyze employee relations data, including exit interview feedback and ER trends, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and engagement efforts, including New Hire Orientation and site-specific employee events.
- Assist with broader HR initiatives such as community outreach, mentorship programs, and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience required; experience in talent management and/or within Finance or Mortgage Operations strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partner with employees and senior leaders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written abilities.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and provide training to support performance and development.
- Skilled in resolving complex employee relations issues using sound judgment, creativity, and knowledge of employment law.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) is a plus.
