Daily Clinical Duties
- Give medications: Administer oral pills, topical creams, and injections as doctors prescribe.
- Check vital signs: Measure blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight regularly.
- Provide wound care: Clean cuts, change bandages, and treat bedsores.
- Collect samples: Gather urine or blood samples for lab tests.
Monitoring and Resident Care
- Track daily habits: Record how much food and fluid residents eat and drink.
- Observe health changes: Look for signs of pain, confusion, or skin breakdown.
- Report concerns: Notify an RN or doctor immediately if a resident gets worse.
- Assist with comfort: Help residents with daily tasks like grooming, dressing, or moving safely.
Supervision and Communication
- Supervise aides: Direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with their daily tasks.
- Update charts: Enter accurate notes into computer record systems.
- Talk with families: Update loved ones on changes in a resident's health or mood.
