Summary
The Sourcing Manager plays a key role in driving cross-functional strategies for direct commodities and minimizes material and service cost impact through strategic procurement activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop commodity strategies and supply base consistent with business initiatives, analyzing suppliers and industries to identify preferred suppliers and rationalize the supply base.
- Develop and utilize customized lists of Preferred Suppliers to support requirements for managed commodities.
- Facilitate timely information flow between the supply base and internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning).
- Partner with incumbent Suppliers to develop and expand new services and products that achieve sustainable competitive advantage.
- Leverage enterprise system tools to identify opportunities to leverage supplier or component spend and drive total cost of ownership reductions.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts, planning, developing, and executing e-Sourcing events relevant to direct space opportunities.
- Improve the speed and flexibility of the supply chain to align with internal and external customer expectations.
- Improve contract coverage with our suppliers and assist in resolving purchased material shortages as needed.
- Promote standardization programs across the company and lead supplier management activities for key regional suppliers.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure synergy between enterprise strategy and execution in direct categories and present to Management regarding developments in assigned areas.
- Lead, monitor, and facilitate project completion to support on-time delivery of targeted values and identify process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- At least 3 years of Supply Chain experience, ideally 4-7 years with increasing responsibility and development.
- Strong preference for experience managing a Fresh Produce supply chain in Planning or Procurement/Purchasing.
- Mindset to dive into data and specifications, ideating cost-out opportunities.
- Intermediate-level experience with MS Excel (IndexMatch, IF statements, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
