Job description: Our Preschool Educator Floaters are the ever-ready superheroes who capably and cheerfully step to teach in when a regular teacher is absent, maintaining the regular schedule, activities and curriculum. Floaters' duties fluctuate as classroom needs are always changing, but they can always be counted on to help ensure a safe space for children to learn and play by flexibly supporting Lead and Assistant Educators with dynamic classroom needs.

Performance Responsibilities:
Model Christian values to guide children’s moral development, such as integrity, kindness, respect, and love- Foster a safe and positive environment for children by supervising, establishing procedures, and reinforcing good habits
- Enforce rules of behavior using positive reinforcement, calm tones, and redirection
- Ensure the classroom is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times
- Follow all Health and Safety requirements regulated by the state and center
- Attend and actively participate in all center-required meetings
- Support teachers' needs by stepping into a classroom when a teacher needs to leave for things such as lesson planning, speaking with a parent, and breaks
- Sub in a classroom if a teacher must be absent, maintaining the children’s normal schedule and lesson plan
Qualifications for Preschool Educator:
- High school diploma or GED
- The ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Prior experience working in Child Care, education, social work, or Christian ministry a plus
- Knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children a plus
- Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time while teaching
