Overview:
Provides in home intervention services for families referred to the Family Support Team through the use of safety assessments, domestic violence education, substance use/abuse education, parenting education, referral, and community resources, etc. Under supervision of the Family Support Team Leader, the Family Support Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties; home safety and maintenance, child well-being, child development, daily living skills, basic parenting skills, vocational assistance, money management, nutrition, housing, transportation, community resource/supports, parent/family support, information and referral, case management, etc.
Role Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years' experience working with children and families or related human services field.
- Required training as assigned by supervisor completed within time frames set by contract management.
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation:
Base pay ranges between $15.01 to $16.12 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the FST In-Home.
