Duties
- Lead and supervise all bar operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts in a casual dining environment
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee beverage preparation, including cocktail crafting, bar menu presentation, and ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for cash handling, sales processing, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Conduct regular staff training on customer service excellence, food safety protocols, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to maximize profitability
- Coordinate with kitchen management for seamless food production and service delivery during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering
Skills
- Proven experience managing bar operations within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience related to beverage service
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate transactions and reporting
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience supervising staff, conducting interviews, and fostering team development
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Experience in managing budgets, shift scheduling, and operational logistics in casual dining or hotel settings
- Knowledge of catering operations, banquet service, and event management is a plus
- Ability to train staff effectively in food production, beverage preparation, and hospitality best practices
