- Maintain a safe, caring, student-centered environment that promotes high academic and ethical standards.
- Under the direction of the Middle School Principal, implement effective actions and strategies to ensure continual improvement of learning for every student.
- Promote the valuing of every student's right to be treated with dignity and respect.
- Demonstrate leadership and support of the educational and administrative philosophies of the school.
Responsibilities
- Selects and requisitions books, instructional aids, and instructional supplies; maintain required inventory records.
- Ensures a comfortable room environment through control of heating, lighting and ventilation to the extent possible.
- Administers group standardized tests in accordance with District testing program;
- Participates in curriculum development programs within the school of assignment and/or on a District level.
- Shares in sponsorship of student activities and participate in faculty committees.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Holds a valid Elementary California Teaching Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Dexterity and physical condition to maintain a rigorous work schedule and meet standards of physical and mental health.
