We are looking for a career-minded surgical assistant, not someone just looking for a job. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care, you may be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
- Function independently—we’re looking for someone who doesn’t need micromanaging but takes ownership and gets things done.
- Assist in surgical procedures including extractions, implants, grafts, biopsies, and sedation.
- Support accurate charting, surgical/exam documentation, and radiographs.
- Monitor patients intra- and post-operatively, providing clear education and reassurance.
- Intentionally create positive experiences—make patients feel cared for not just as cases, but as people.
- Build and maintain exceptional relationships with our referral partners (general dentists and their staff).
- Uphold strict infection control and sterilization standards (OSHA/CDC).
- Complete all assigned tasks fully—no unfinished work carried over.
- Contribute to practice innovation—finding new ways to improve patient and referral experiences.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Previous surgical or dental assisting experience (oral surgery preferred).
✅ CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
✅ Detail-oriented & precise: accuracy in notes, prescriptions, and procedures is non-negotiable.
✅ Proactive & resourceful: you anticipate needs, take initiative, and deliver without constant direction.
✅ Patient-centered: able to quickly build trust, show genuine care, and ease patient anxiety.
✅ Relationship-builder: committed to creating positive experiences for patients and referral partners.
✅ Accountable: owns mistakes, learns, and grows—no excuses.
✅ Positive team player: no gossip, no negativity—just collaboration and support.
✅ Confident & adaptable: ready to jump into a fast-paced, ever-evolving surgical environment.
Why Join Lakeside Oral Surgery?
⭐ A culture of teamwork, positivity, and growth.
⭐ Work directly with a surgeon who is supportive, approachable, and invests heavily in your success.
⭐ Ongoing personal & professional development—training, books, conferences, mentorship.
⭐ Modern facilities, innovative surgical techniques, and a reputation for excellence.
