Ophthalmic Technician
We are seeking a cheerful, enthusiastic, and dependable Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. About the Role
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play an important part in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the clinical team in delivering outstanding care. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Support physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and exam preparation
- Accurately document patient information and assist with scribing in Electronic Medical Records
- Obtain and document a detailed ocular and medical history
- Visual acuity testing, Applanation tonometry, Lensometry, Refractometry, Diagnostic testing OCT, VF, Fundus photography.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, providers, and team members
- Help ensure the office operates efficiently while upholding a high standard of patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Professional and friendly attitude with patients and co-workers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to learn and accurately document in Electronic Medical Records
- Dependable, team-oriented, and motivated to provide excellent patient care
