Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a cheerful, enthusiastic, and dependable Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. Our private ophthalmology practice is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized eye care to every patient, and we are looking for someone who shares that commitment to exceptional service and teamwork.

About the Role

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play an important part in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the clinical team in delivering outstanding care. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Support physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and exam preparation
  • Accurately document patient information and assist with scribing in Electronic Medical Records
  • Obtain and document a detailed ocular and medical history
  • Visual acuity testing, Applanation tonometry, Lensometry, Refractometry, Diagnostic testing OCT, VF, Fundus photography.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, providers, and team members
  • Help ensure the office operates efficiently while upholding a high standard of patient care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Professional and friendly attitude with patients and co-workers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to learn and accurately document in Electronic Medical Records
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and motivated to provide excellent patient care
