Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, offering personalized recommendations and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished throughout the day
• Upsell products by highlighting specials, new arrivals, or complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features, benefits, and usage tips
• Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that draw customer attention and promote featured items

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty food environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Strong communication skills and bilingual abilities are highly valued for engaging diverse customer bases
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math ensures efficient transaction handling
• Knowledge of grocery store products and merchandising enhances your ability to serve customers effectively
