Position Summary:
The Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Office Manager to oversee daily operations of the Urgent Care Department. Supervisor helps update coverage calendar, on-board and train new staff, monitor and audit staff productivity, enforce workflow, assist with performance evaluations, timekeeping, and correction actions.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 10AM - 6:30PM. Hours may vary depending on urgent care needs. Must be on call for staff question on weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels at all times and verify all office staff overtime hours.
- Coordinate/approve staff requests for time off per company guidelines.
- Responsible for training of office personnel on office procedures and workflow.
- Responsible for auditing the work and responsibilities of office personnel including administrative overview of physicians and physician assistants.
- Monitor patient waiting times and use of Urgent Care and report problems/trends to supervisor.
- Train staff in laboratory process including compliance, and Quality controls
- Gather staff required credentials and licenses
- Ensure efficient EMR processes and compliance.
- Complete bi-weekly payroll process
- Ensure appropriate inventory of medical supplies are on hand at all times.
- Order and verify receipt of office supplies per office guidelines.
- Assist with staff performance reviews and counseling per company guidelines.
- Maintain an awareness of changes in policies, procedures and protocol.
- Maintain a cooperative relationship with patients, staff and any other individuals.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times and promote the importance of customer service.
- Handle complaints of patients and maintain an office complaint log or copies of written complaint.
- Comply with office confidentiality, safety, infection control and exposure control policies.
- Ensure that office is kept clean, organized and safe.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information.
- Display a professional attitude through performance, appearance and demeanor.
- Maintain neat, legible and organized written records.
- Act as back-up support as needed within the department.
- Demonstrate good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions.
- Recognize and resolve problems, troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment or treatment procedures and use alternate methods if available.
- Assist patients without bias or prejudice.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Work collaboratively with other managers to provide cross-training and cross-coverage between departments.
- Performs other duties as directed by management.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,304 - $73,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements:Education and / or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or three to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of Lead or Supervising Medical Assistant with Urgent care experience
- LVN license preferred
- HIPAA & Patient experience knowledgeable
- Managed care knowledgeable
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
