Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: 4-day workweek – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
- Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays
- Work Environment: Culture forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom
- Setup and operate all of the following machinery:
- Small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses
- Deburring machines
- Straightener
- Large shear
- Cold saw
- Drill table
- Hand bender
- Spotfacer
- Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
- Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to Company procedures.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience
- Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day.
- Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. EMF fields can interfere with some medical implants, including pacemakers.
