What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Truck Sales Representative position at Lakeside International Trucks?
Overview
The Used Truck Sales Representative is responsible for selling used medium and heavy-duty trucks inside their assigned area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Prospecting for used truck customers daily through both phone and in-person customer visits
Respond promptly to leads received through online advertising and Facebook campaigns.
Utilizing market research software and CRM system to identify prospective used truck buyers
Provide quotes and proposals, provide test drives, and perform presentations highlighting truck features
Prepare and submit sales calls reports utilizing the enterprise CRM system
Maintain a detailed pipeline of used truck prospects and their needs
Maintain familiarity with the used truck inventory as well as incoming units
Ensure used trucks on the lot are properly displayed and labeled bringing any issues to the GM and/or the used truck department’s attention
Write up complete and accurate sales contracts, secure deposits, and process all paperwork in accordance with established Lakeside used truck department policies
Maintain regular follow-up with potential and existing customers to build strong relationships and encourage repeat business.
Move trucks from one location to another as needed
Qualifications
Comfortable making cold calls
Previous experience selling goods or services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience at navigating and overcoming sales objections
Valid Driver’s License
Commercial Driver’s License or willingness/ability to obtain CDL within first 9 months of employment
Educational Requirements
A college degree or equivalent experience in sales experience preferred.
