The Historic Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora, FL is seeking experienced Host or Hostess for various shifts. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK HOLIDAYS.
JOB BRIEF
Provide a warm, welcoming first impression by greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations using the Hostme app.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greet guests promptly upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
· Manage guest seating efficiently using the Hostme app, including waitlists and reservations.
· Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
· Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed.
· Maintain organization and cleanliness of the host stand and entrance area.
· Coordinate with servers and management to ensure balanced table rotation and optimal service flow.
· Assist in answering phone calls and taking reservations as needed.
· Handle guest concerns with a positive attitude and escalate issues to management when necessary.
· Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
· Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
· Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Ability to learn and effectively use the Hostme app
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
· Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· High school diploma a plus
