The Shift Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing vegetable processing, water supply, and wastedisposal equipment to support continuous plant operations. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and broad experience across multiple mechanical disciplines.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and installfoodprocessing machinery and related systems
- Perform maintenance work withminimal supervision
- Assist theshift electricianas needed
- Support and comply with allPlant Safety and Food Safety Programs
- Maintain equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations
- High school diploma or GED required
- 10 or more years of related mechanical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong working knowledge of:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Power transmission systems
- Welding (gas, arc, inert gas)
- Pipe and tube fitting
- Bearing installation, replacement, and lubrication
- Vibratory equipment and pumps
- Precision alignment and measurement
- Equipment installation and troubleshooting
- Basic equipmentrelated electronics
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
