Lakeside Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations and accounting practices. You will support the finance department by contributing to key projects and assisting with daily tasks that ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
What You'll Do
- Prepare tax schedules and profit-by-business reports
- Edit grower payables and assist with fiscal close duties
- Assist with Census and Annual Survey preparation
- Compile sales reports and file Sales & Use tax
- Process Certificates of Insurance
- Manage W-9 letters, 1099 forms and new vendor information
- Junior or Senior status in a 4-year degree program majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some familiarity with accounting software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Real-world experience in finance and accounting
