What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Advisor position at Lakeside Capital Group Management LLC?
What It Is Like to Work at Lakeside Companies
Lakeside Companies is an entrepreneurial family firm in the Inland Northwest with a portfolio spanning commercial and residential construction, specialty manufacturing, agriculture, beauty, and more. In this role you will work directly with portfolio leadership on marketing work that has a visible impact on real business outcomes.
Job Summary:
The commercial operations team at Lakeside Companies is seeking a Marketing Advisor to execute and coordinate marketing activity across an active real estate portfolio. This is a mid-level individual contributor role — you will own day-to-day marketing execution for assigned entities, make tactical decisions independently, and bring senior leadership in for budget, strategy, and vendor contract decisions. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Business Intelligence, and entity stakeholders to keep campaigns on track and results moving. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, communicative self-starter with 2–4 years of marketing experience, hands-on WordPress skills, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple projects simultaneously without direct reports.
Duties/Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Execute marketing plans for assigned entities based on direction from senior leadership; own delivery across paid, organic, email, web, and events.
- Bring forward ideas and proposals for new strategies or tests; scope recommendations before escalating for approval.
- Support brand positioning and creative direction in alignment with entity leadership.
Agency & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for external agencies and vendors — managing briefs, feedback, timelines, and deliverable review.
- Coordinate with internal team members, contractors, and portfolio entity stakeholders to keep projects moving.
- Escalate agency performance issues, contract decisions, and budget changes to senior leadership.
- This role has a clear growth path toward full agency relationship ownership, including budget authority and performance accountability.
Digital & Website
- Maintain and update portfolio company websites in WordPress; ensure content stays current, on-brand, and supports conversion (landing pages, SEO basics, tracking).
- Ensure consistency across all platforms: websites, listing sites, ads, signage, print, and social profiles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations
- Coordinate with Operations and Business Intelligence to align campaigns to availability, promotions, and business priorities.
- Manage campaign calendars and task lists; communicate status and blockers proactively to stakeholders.
- Manage marketing projects and events as requested by senior leadership.
- Maintain Architerra community presence including signage condition and accuracy; coordinate repairs and cleanup in response to damage or weather events.
Key Performance Indicators:
- On-time delivery and quality of assigned campaigns and projects
- Lead generation and engagement metrics for managed entities
- Consistency of brand execution across all platforms
Requirements
- 2–4 years of marketing experience; exposure to multi-brand or portfolio environments a plus.
- Collaborative Working Style: Comfortable working across teams without formal authority — builds alignment through communication, not hierarchy.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communicator; able to keep multiple stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Agency Coordination: Experience working alongside or interfacing with external agencies or vendors; able to manage briefs and feedback professionally.
- WordPress Proficiency: Hands-on experience updating and maintaining websites in WordPress including content, images, and basic formatting.
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to track multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without direct reports or a team to delegate to.
- Familiarity with paid media, email marketing platforms, and basic analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or similar).
- Self-starter who can operate independently within a defined scope and knows when to loop in leadership.
