Lakeside Book Company is looking to fill several Temp-to-Hire Cherry Picker Operators to join our Plainfield team. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated team, ensuring that products are picked, stowed, and moved to their proper locations, while maintaining a safe working environment. Pay, Shift, Location, & Job Type

Pay: $18.75/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential

Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with overtime as needed

Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168

Job Type: Temp-to-hire: eligible for full time, permanent, status change following your 90-day probationary performance review.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker and other lifting equipment to safely move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse inventory.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and material handling.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a cherry picker operator, or in a similar role is required.
• Comfortable with heights of 20 feet.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout your shift.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
