Lakeside Book Company is excited to offer an opportunity for a Shipping Clerk to join the team at our 2024 Facility of the Year! In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our products are accurately prepared for shipment and delivered on time to our valued customers. As a Shipping Clerk, your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital as you handle shipping documents, process incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy. Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to company procedures
• Verify and pack items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Maintain shipping supplies inventory and request reorders as necessary
• Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments
• Create and maintain accurate shipping documentation and records
• Assist in inventory management by performing regular counts and updates
• Collaborate with team members to resolve shipping discrepancies and issues promptly

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping experience in a warehouse setting is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
• Proven ability to handle issues both professionally and with urgency
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in shipping software
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout your entire shift

Pay, Shift, & Location
Pay: $19.00/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential for 3rd shift
Shift: 11:00pm-7:00am, Sunday-Thursday, with overtime as required.
Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168
