Lakeside Book Company is looking for a Shipping EDI Clerk to join our team! Shipping EDI Clerks manages the stretch wrap operation, attach identifying tags or labels to materials or containers, perform data entry, consolidate loads, and my at times operate a forklift. Good knowledge of the shipping layout, item identification codes, and basic shipping procedures is a must. We will provide you with all the training you need to be successful.

Starting Rate: $19.15/hour

Hours: 12 Hours Monday-Wednesday and every other Thursday 6p-6a

Location: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22801

As an EDI Clerk, you will:

• Manage the operation of stretch wrapping equipment.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to loads. Attach the container labels on the outside of the stretch wrap.
• Responsible for verifying load counts and making the necessary COMN system adjustments.
• Combine jobs on a pallet if customer request.
• Repair damaged loads.
• Housekeeping in the stretch wrapper area. Need to maintain housekeeping around and under the stretch wrappers.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience using shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, may require skill in operating/using forklift truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of your shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
