Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of premises using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems and access control systems to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security threats, following established emergency response procedures
• Perform background checks on visitors or contractors to ensure safety compliance and authorized access
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for record-keeping and follow-up actions
• Manage access control systems to regulate entry and exit points, verifying identities and maintaining security logs
• Provide first aid assistance and operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices during medical emergencies while ensuring scene safety
• Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain order during tense situations
• Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies, ensuring adherence to safety standards like manual handling protocols
• Conduct surveillance using CCTV cameras and perform visual inspections to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
• Support loss prevention initiatives by monitoring for theft or vandalism and collaborating with law enforcement when required

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided
• Demonstrated ability to perform surveillance activities and operate security equipment such as CCTV systems and access control systems
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid, AED operation, Taser use, firearm handling, and fire safety protocols
• Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail for accurate documentation of events
• Experience in performing background checks and managing access control measures effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, de-escalate conflicts, and manage stressful situations professionally
• Physical fitness capable of performing patrols that involve walking, standing for extended periods, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks while maintaining compliance with safety regulations
