Certified Nursing Assistant - Richmond, VA

Lakeshore Talent is in search of a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support an Adult Day Health Center in Richmond, Virginia. This is a contract opportunity providing temporary coverage while the organization completes a direct hire search. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly or frail populations and a passion for delivering quality, participant-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Position Details

• Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Location: Richmond, VA
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET
• Contract Length: Approximately 2 months
• Pay Rate: $18.37 – $21.15/hour

Position Overview

The CNA will support participants at an Adult Day Health Center by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing restorative and supportive care. This role works closely with nurses, transportation staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure participants receive attentive, respectful, and safe care throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist participants with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, oral care, and other daily living activities
• Follow individualized care plans and document care provided according to established policies and procedures
• Monitor and report changes in participants’ condition, including vital signs, appetite, skin condition, mobility, and functional ability
• Support restorative care activities including ambulation, transfers, positioning, and skin care
• Assist with feeding and meal monitoring as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding participant care
• Report accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences promptly
• Assist participants with loading and unloading from transportation vehicles
• Support transportation staff as a bus attendant when needed
• Participate in group and one-on-one participant activities
• Attend required trainings and continuing education sessions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA license
• CPR certification
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• First Aid certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Minimum of one year of experience working with frail or elderly populations
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in adult day care, long-term care, or group care settings for elderly participants
• Bilingual skills preferred
• Experience working within EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
