What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Retail and Operations Assistant position at Lakeshore Keepers?
Purpose of Position: To assist the gift shop and operations managers with daily tasks, including interacting with volunteers and tagging and transporting inventory. Responsibilities Conduct volunteer orientations. Transport supplies and inventory as needed. Handle bank deposits and gift shop transactions as assigned. Must be able to operate a POS system and understand processes in order to teach volunteers. Tag and organize inventory, and help track backstock. Fulfill administrative tasks as assigned by the Operations or Marketing Manager. Spend at least two days in the Ludington administrative office. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to climb steps, stoop, bend, sit, stand, walk up to 2 miles, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have a reliable vehicle to be used for work-related tasks and be willing to drive to various locations from Whitehall to Manistee. (Mileage is covered.) Must be detail-oriented and organized. Must be familiar with Google Drive. Ability to take direction and follow tasks through to completion in a timely and efficient manner. Must pass a background check.
