Certified Medical Job Summary
We are seeking a certified medical assistant to join our team at our Internal medicine and Pediatrics office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients in an outpatient settings. The successful applicant will be a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, working alongside physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Certified Medical Duties
- Assist with patient intake, vital sign monitoring, and other clinical procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and ensure that all necessary medical equipment and supplies are available
- Perform EKGs and other clinical tests as needed
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently
- Assist with medication management and ordering
- Provide direct patient care, including injections
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
- Assist with scheduling and managing patient appointments
-Ability answer/screen calls in a triage environment
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that all patient information is up-to-date and secure
Certified Medical Requirements
- Current certification as a medical assistant (CMA or RMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in medical assisting or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience working in a medical-surgical or outpatient setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical billing and coding systems
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
