What are the responsibilities and job description for the DR-III (Delivery Support) position at Lakeshore Beverage?
This position is accountable for spot sales, delivery and merchandising of all products on various routes on a fillin basis. This position requires some experience and a Class A CDL.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adhere to Company programs and policies that will result in the safe execution of timely delivery, maximized sales, and minimized returns.
• Conduct a daily Pre-Tip inspection of his/her assigned vehicle.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations.
• Follow the approved delivery structure and processes and will identify and fulfill spot sales opportunities.
• Maintain product freshness and move product when necessary.
• Will participate in “work with” and “ride with” days with the Delivery Manager and Delivery Team Leader to obtain coaching and training opportunities in the field.
• Must maintain a pace of work that enables drivers to complete their deliveries in 12 hours or less due to DOT regulations.
SAFETY
Due to the physical requirements, as well as the need to maintain a high level of continual alertness in the work environment, this is a safety-sensitive position.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma/GED
- Must have a driving record acceptable to the Company
- Class A CDL required
- DOT certificate up-to-date
- Ability to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 165lbs
