Responsibilities
- Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other aerial equipment to access high branches and tree canopies near power lines
- Use rigging techniques to carefully remove or prune trees, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding vegetation and infrastructure
- Conduct detailed tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and shaping to promote healthy growth and safety clearance
- Apply knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and documenting work sites accurately
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics
- Follow all safety protocols related to working at heights, electrical hazards, and equipment operation
- Assist with land clearing projects by removing hazardous trees or branches that could interfere with utility lines or public spaces
Requirements
- Proven growing experience in tree care, horticulture, or landscaping with a focus on tree trimming and pruning techniques
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; bucket operation experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy limbs or equipment in confined spaces
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools for site documentation is a plus
- Strong understanding of tree care principles, including health assessment and proper pruning methods
- Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or general horticulture practices is desirable
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; comfortable working at heights using safety harnesses and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
