Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using medical administrative support tools
- Collect and update patient information accurately, including medical history and insurance details
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, test preparations, and follow-up procedures
- Assist clinical staff by managing patient flow, preparing documentation, and handling administrative tasks
- Maintain organized records of patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and facilitate effective communication between patients and the medical team
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical office or dental office environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively
- Proven skills in medical administrative support, including appointment scheduling and record management
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that puts patients at ease
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (such as HIPAA) is a plus
