Position Summary
The Lakes Region Humane Society is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized professional to oversee the organization’s financial operations, human resources administration, facility maintenance coordination, and IT support liaison. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and long-term organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Administration
- Process and submit weekly payroll accurately and on time to include:
- Monthly Health Reimbursements, annual bonuses, simple IRA’s, Holiday Pay and tracking PTO.
- Perform reconciliation of:
- Credit card and bank accounts ensuring they match database entries, are coded properly and submitted with financial documentation.
- Assist with annual financial reporting, including:
- Collaboration with accountant/bookkeeper/Treasurer for year-end reports such as 990 Form, NHCT-12, A-12, A-9, etc.
Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Maintain employee records and personnel files
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Serve as a point of contact for staff HR-related questions and violation reporting and documentation
- Handle annual insurance renewals/audits and accident/incident reporting
Facilities & Maintenance Oversight
- Track and manage facility-related expenses and projects
- Proactively identify facility needs with the Maintenance person, prioritize those needs, and present them to the Executive Director with supporting cost/time estimates for approval.
IT Coordination
- Serve as primary liaison with Lakes Region Computer
- Coordinate system updates, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Update the website LRHS.net
- Help ensure staff have the tools and access needed for daily operations
Optional (Based on Candidate Strengths): Volunteer Program Coordination
- Respond to new volunteer applicants promptly and provide them with resources to review.
- Set orientation/training appointments, ideally train them or set them up with someone who can (another volunteer or staff member)
- Organize and maintain volunteer schedules
- Help foster a positive and engaging volunteer experience with ongoing communications and updates
Qualifications
- Experience in financial administration, bookkeeping/ accounting, payroll
- Familiarity with payroll systems and reconciliation processes such as ADP and Quickbooks Online.
- Experience in HR administration
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Comfortable working with technology and coordinating IT support
