Lakes Region EMS is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service with both rural and urban service areas just northeast of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. We operate bases in Rush City, North Branch, and Lindstrom, Minnesota, as well as St. Croix Falls and Milltown, Wisconsin. We are seeking our next Director of Clinical Services to join the team. As Director of Clinical Services, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all clinical quality, patient care standards, education, competency management, and regulatory compliance activities of Lakes Region EMS. Serving as the primary liaison to the Medical Director and responsible for ensuring clinical operations align with organizational goals, evidence-based practice, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. In this role, the Director of Clinical Services will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Medical Director, operational leaders, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, patient safety, and professional development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current certification or licensure as an EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse, or other healthcare professional recognized by state EMS regulations.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in EMS, healthcare, quality improvement, clinical education, or related leadership roles.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

  • Experience developing and implementing quality improvement programs.

  • Experience with clinical education, competency management, and credentialing systems.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, EMS management, nursing, education, public health, or related field.

  • Experience with EMS accreditation programs and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience managing clinical data systems and performance analytics.

  • Instructor certifications relevant to EMS education.


Additional eligibility requirements

  • Current driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, and to maintain driving eligibility requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to maintain required certifications and credentials.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening that includes a drug test, physical fitness assessment, health history, and lift assessment.

Compensation
Starting salary range of $118,000–$155,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for up to 20% annual performance-based bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including group benefits and 401(k).

Salary : $118,000 - $155,000
