Lakes Logistics Inc., a contract carrier for the United States Postal Service, is seeking reliable and safety-focused Delivery Drivers to join our team. Drivers are responsible for transporting and handling mail and freight in a timely and professional manner while maintaining strict adherence to schedules and safety standards.
Pay Rate:
- $25.61 – $31.56 per hour (depending on benefit package selected)
Qualifications:
- Clean driving record required
- Ability to pass a federal background check
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience driving 26 ft box trucks, heavy equipment, truck and trailer, etc. is required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Can understand, write, and speak English (Legally required to pass a test demonstrating you can understand traffic signs and signals, converse with the general public, respond to official inquires, and keep records in English.)
Job Requirements:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in adverse weather conditions
- The ability to lift 50 lbs or more, and push/pull carts, bins, and equipment as needed
- Load, unload, and secure cargo properly
- Sort and organize freight efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections consistently
- Maintain accurate logs and comply with all safety and company policies
- Communicate promptly with management regarding delays, issues, or concerns
