Job Description/Duties:
The coach’s number one job is to provide an inclusive, safe, enjoyable, productive, transformational experience for our LILA Student Athletes. The coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment and events, physical fitness, and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete. The coach should work closely with the other coaches of the sport to prepare athletes for the next level.
Stipend Amopunt: $1,200-$2,100
Job responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Prepare successful practice and performance plans while encouraging student participation, establishing team rapport, and motivating participants to achieve maximum potential.
- Be an example of sportsmanship
- Maintain equipment and inventory of all equipment, including uniforms.
- Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to: gyms, locker rooms, fields, buses.
- Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, Activities Director, and families.
- Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
